If you are a adrenaline pumping, equestrian loving, socialite kind of person. This Friday starts our “Friday Polo Series” that will continue every Friday throughout the Fall. Polo starts at 6:30pm. Seton Hays Annual Health Fair (KYLE) Join staff and physicians with Seton Medical Center Hays for our community health fair and help us celebrate our eight year anniversary! The lobby of Seton Hays will be filled with an estimated 80 vendors and medical providers offering everything from blood pressure screenings to mock surgeries.
Keep Texas Beautiful Fall Sweep (SAN MARCOS) Keep San Marcos Beautiful will be hosting KTB’s Fall Sweep Kick-off event. Join hundreds of volunteers at several sites across San Marcos work together to clean up San Marcos. Breakfast, t-shirts and lunch will be provided.This is part of the Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup.Volunteers will arrive at 8:30 a.m. in time for regsitration, a free shirt, breakfast tacos and a short program. Cleanup areas will include: San Marcos River from City Park to Stokes Park; Purgatory Creek; Willow Creek; Downtown and drainage ditches along Hopkins, Charles Austin, and Hwy 123. Assigned area will be distributed at registration.Please wear close-toed shoes. All other supplies will be provided. Lunch will be provided for volunteers starting around 11:30 a.m.
Market Days (WIMBERLEY) Wimberley hosts the oldest outdoor market in the Texas Hill Country and the second-largest in the state. We feature over 475 booths of everything you can’t live without. Come stroll our tree-shaded paths, listen to live music and shop to your heart’s content. Admission is free to our market so come out and enjoy! Motor coach tours are welcome! We also feature 3 large parking lots, monthly themes and entertainment, tasty concessions, a great variety of vendors and clean, handicap-accessible restrooms. We also love pets but are not able to allow them on the field. We are open the 1st Saturday of the month March-December. We are open 7:00-4:00 p.m. except during the 3 summer months when we close early at 3:00 p.m.
Fire Department Fire Prevention Month Open House (San Marcos) To kick off Fire Prevention Month, the San Marcos Fire Department will host an open house so residents can learn about fire prevention with interactive events and demonstrations. Attendees can ride on a fire truck, witness a vehicle rescue demonstration and race in an inflatable obstacle course. 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Free. Pumpkin Patch Grand Opening (KYLE) Join us at our beautiful pumpkin patch for fall family fun right here in Kyle, Texas! It opens on October 7th and goes until October 31st or until we sell out of pumpkins.
Our shop is a year round farm market and local plant nursery and in the fall, we are transformed into a sea of orange! Outside, you can stretch your legs and get some use out of those cute Halloween costumes at our many cute photo spots. Paint a pumpkin for $5 and hunt for the perfect pumpkin to carve. There’s a hay pyramid to climb, a tunnel to crawl through, a tractor to explore, play house for imaginations to run wild, tree swing to fly like a bird and lots of room to run and play. Bring a picnic and stay a while and don’t forget to say hi to our mini horse and mini donkey, Shorty and Spot!
