San Marcos Farmer’s Market (San Marcos) (FREE) The San Marcos Farmers Market is held every Saturday all year round. The Saturday Farmers Market happens on San Antonio St. between LBJ and Guadalupe Streets from 9am-1pm.

Buda Farmer’s Market (Buda) (FREE) The vision of the Downtown Buda farmers’ Market is to provide local residents and businesses of the community with the freshest, highest quality, most nutritious, and most reasonably priced local produce and goods. Saturday Market – 9am-12:30pm. Located across from Garcia’s Restaurant, Main Street, Buda.

Halloween Costume Swap (Buda) (FREE) Bring your used (but gently loved) costume to gain entry to the event. You will then be able to pick the same amount as you brought. 100% free event, Kid friendly, and meet ladies within your community. RSVP here. 10am-12pm, 113 Pond View Pass, Buda

Rock Painting Party (Kyle) (FREE) Kyle UMC is joining the rock hiding movement! Kids of all ages and their families are invited to come and paint positive messages and pictures on rocks to hide around town. Bring your friends, we’d love to create lots of rocks so we can spread God’s love and let our lights shine all around our community! Free event! Fall Family Tailgate (San Marcos) (FREE) The San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department presents the first-ever Fall Family Tailgate! Join us at the San Marcos Activity Center Parking lot for an afternoon of FREE fun, games, music, snacks and more before the Texas State Bobcats take on the UTSA Roadrunners. The tailgate will be held from 3:00-5:30 PM, followed by the game at 6:00. You are not required to attend the game if you attend the tailgate.

Buda UMC Pumpkin Patch (Buda) (FREE) Buda United Methodist Church and the Buda UMC Men’s Group will once again host the pumpkin patch. This year’s patch will be held at the same location as previous years, at the Gray’s Farm on 767 Main Street, across from Willie’s Joint. Pumpkins and gourds of all sizes will be available and the patch is a great location for the family picture. Don’t miss out on the fun. Admission is free and costs of pumpkins vary depending on size. 10am-8pm at 767 Main Street, Buda.

The Mermaid Roundup (San Marcos) (FREE) The Mermaid Roundup is created to be the grand finale for SMTX Mermaid SPLASH and Mermaid Society’s CALL TO ACTION. This annual event is scheduled to take place one week after the festival to allow time to reset from all the festivities! Our aim is to use the momentum of the celebration of the mermaid to inspire newcomers to become river guardians. This community event is a gateway to connect experienced envionmental stewards with those that wish to learn more about how to get involved in upcoming activity. Plan for a pot-luck family style picnic. All ages welcomed! 9am-1pm, location TBA.

Sweet Berry Farms  (Marble Falls) (FREE) Kick off your fall by driving to Sweet Berry Farms and enjoy The Harvest of Fall! Paint your pumpkin, pick flowers, or go on a hayride for $5 or less! On weekends, you can ride a horse and then enjoy grilled corn, hot dogs, and PBJ sandwiches as well as drinks and chips that The Pumpkin Grill serves up.
