San Marcos Farmer’s Market (San Marcos) (FREE) The San Marcos Farmers Market is held every Saturday all year round. The Saturday Farmers Market happens on San Antonio St. between LBJ and Guadalupe Streets from 9am-1pm.

Buda Farmer’s Market (Buda) (FREE) The vision of the Downtown Buda farmers’ Market is to provide local residents and businesses of the community with the freshest, highest quality, most nutritious, and most reasonably priced local produce and goods. Saturday Market – 9am-12:30pm. Located across from Garcia’s Restaurant, Main Street, Buda.

8th Annual Dia De Los Muertos Celebration (SAN MARCOS) The 8th annual Dia De Los Muertos Celebration will be hosted at the LBJ Ballroom. 6:00pm-8:30pm. Free admission, altar contest, music, live performances, crafts, face painting and food!

Kids Halloween Fest at Wake the Dead Coffee House (SAN MARCOS) FREE Activities Include: fishing for prizes, bones scavenger hunt with prizes, decorate a cookie, pumpkin art collage, musical chairs, face painting, balloon tying, Mr. Wizard, pinata, live music for kiddos, kids costume contest with prizes!!

Tricks N Treats Fall Festival (SAN MARCOS) Get involved with our wonderful community by participating in our annual Halloween event! Saturday, October 28th we will have our fourth annual “Tricks & Treats Fall Festival”, a full day of fun, including hay rides, free skate lessons, face painting, trick-or-treating around TSR, and so much more!! We will have over 25 stops and activities hosted by local businesses, so dress up as your favorite goblin, princess, or whatever you want to be and join us for an afternoon and evening of safe, Halloween fun! We will also have half-off cable passes and basic rentals for those of you who dress in a costume that day!

Fourth Flea and Trick or Treating (SAN MARCOS) This Saturday’s 4th Flea Community Market will include trick-or-treating from Noon – 3 p.m. The monthly Market takes place outdoors in the Garden and inside the historic Price Center in downtown San Marcos from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. A limited number of indoor and outdoor booth spaces are still available.

Cemetery Tour (SAN MARCOS) Enjoy a “lively” guided tour of the San Marcos Cemetery by period accurate actors. Tour starts at 3:00 pm and will begin every 15 mins. Donations are welcomed.

Monthly Martindale Markert and Costume Contest (SAN MARCOS) Come out and celebrate the Martindale Market’s 1-year birthday Halloween style!!! This month’s market is hosting a costume contest, trunk or treating with our vendors, photo opportunities & a jump start on your holiday shopping! The market features a variety of vendors offering handmade, homegrown, vintage, antique & unique products for the whole family! Stop by and shop local, support local music, catch a live demonstration, grab a snack & so much more!

Dia De Los Muertos 5K Run/Walk & Kids Fun Run (SAN MARCOS) Come on out to celebrate Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at the FIFTH ANNUAL morning 5K Run/Walk at Hernandez Elementary on 333 Stagecoach Trail in San Marcos! Wear your favorite Day of the Dead running costume! FACE PAINTING provided for early arrivals! PHOTOS with our mascots, the legendary Catrina & her escort, Juanito!  MUSIC by DJ Jesse Cruz/Jammin X-PressDOOR PRIZES! MULTIPLE chances to win UNIQUE trophy prizes! Sponsor a MEMORY BOARD for display at the race in honor of a loved one who has passed, or places their name and photo on this year’s NEW Day of the Dead altar.

Farmer Fred’s Harvest Festival (SAN MARCOS) Join the San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department for an evening of tricks and treats, pumpkins and sweets! The annual Farmer Fred’s Harvest Fall Carnival will be held on Saturday, October 28 from 6-9 PM at San Marcos Plaza Park. Featuring free games, prizes, candy, a children’s costume contest and more, this event is fun for the whole family!

Downtown San Marcos Trick or Treat (SAN MARCOS) Come one, come all to the third annual Downtown San Marcos Trick or Treat hosted by Main Street San Marcos! This free event gives parents and children the opportunity to explore Downtown San Marcos while celebrating Halloween. On October 28th, local shops throughout Downtown will open their doors from 12 to 3 and hand out sweets and treats.

Spooky Family Fun Day at Spring Lake (SAN MARCOS) Get into the Halloween spirit with spooky nature-themed crafts and activities that are fun for all ages! This event is free and open to the public. Family Fun Days at Spring Lake are funded in part by the City of San Marcos TX – City Hall.

Booda Halloween (BUDA) Grab your dog ears and head downtown for the 15th Annual Booda Halloween celebration in Downtown Buda! Walk Main Street for an endless supply of candy and spooky fun! Parents and kids alike can join the FREE fun and win awesome prizes during the pumpkin decorating contest and costume contest.

Center Street Trick or Treat (KYLE) Center Street Trick or Treat is back! Come out for a great time at City Square Park downtown Kyle for games, candy, and so much more. HEB has donated pumpkins for a pumpkin decorating contest for kids. Booths will have games and candy for kids. It’s a great safe environment for some amazing trick or treating!

Trick or Treating at the Square (WIMBERLEY) Families can go door-to-door for treats from merchants on the town square. The Wimberley Square, 101 Wimberley Square.

The Black Seed (SAN MARCOS) The Black Diamond Cabaret Theatre will present its fall production just in time for Halloween, with the classic thriller, The Bad Seed, in the historic 1910 Room at the Price Center.  The play and 1950’s film, which is based on a story by Maxwell Anderson and is considered an icon in the suspense thriller genre, Audiences of all ages will enjoy this dark story of a “typical young couple” with an eight-year-old daughter living a charmed and happy life that is not what it seems. The Bad Seed will run through Nov. 5 with both evening and matinee performances.
